Yes I have purple 4cx250 made by Eimac, so there are purple tubes. But
without lable it is not prove for you that you have actuaqlly these
tubes in hand. Accorrding the power level with your elder tubes. It is
more likely you had 4cx300 or russian gu70. The other possibility id to
exchange the tubes with old ones. It is very obvious which tube has been
in service and which one is brand new. Unfortunately after 24 hour
filament treatment the difference is no more seen. So I could not put
exact diagnose what has been happening from your explanations only.
