[Moon-net] Fwd: Advise on bifilar choke for 8877 filament

Thanks everyone!

The consensus is it doesn't matter.  Some advised making separate 
chokes with bare wire; some said insulated is fine; some cautioned 
that the wire was able to carry the current (10amps - good 
point).  The original article (Eimac Service Newsletter AS-47 by 
BobSutherland - W6SAI) recommends making a bifilar coil of 10 turns 
No. 12 enameled wire 5/8-inch diameter close wound.  I think I will 
try making the coil using standard insulated house wire (solid conductor).

The RF assembly is coming along slowly, but hoping to be testing the 
amp in a couple weeks if my MGJ-269 is returned form repair.
