I'm using the Alfaspid RAS to track spaceprobes at 8.4ghz and to listen EME
at 1296 and 10ghz, and I'm losintg pulses too.
If I calibrate the rotator peaking the signal from a source as the sun, and
start to tracking it, the rotator works well, it don't lost pulses. But If I
move the rotator manually using the arrow keys and make the or four travels,
it start to lost a lot of pulses pulses;using the rs232 port if I change the
obect to track and have to do a long path to track a new object, it lost
pulses too. Running it at 18v / 20v is true that is losintg less pulses, but
it continues losting.
I'm a bit boered abut it, because in every session that I use the rotator I
have to calibrate the system, and it is a trouble in the nights when the
moon not is available, or the times that dont have the sun or moon over the
horizon to calibrate.
If I dont get a solution for this, probably I will mount absolute encoders
and F1EHN board, or a digital inclinometer/compass, like this:

This firmware is for the RAS? Or only for the RAK?
Thanks!
