After an excellent weekend at the French vhf/uhf/shf annual meeting, it was 
sad to return home and see the news.

Kjell outlasted my logs (long lost) , but my memory is enough, tropo in the 
70's and eme in the 80's.

It was fun to turn down the power and see at what point he would come back, 
the sure thing was , he would,  and often at levels that gave both a 
surprise and a thrill to those of us running more humble stations.
