We have had a windy and wet Spring here in the mid-west. The dish was 4 degrees off on Saturday due to 75mph winds on Friday. All is back now and did get the 3400 feed in the 2.7m dish after some activity on 2304 on Saturday.
No echoes here on 3400 MHz (40w) but did not expect much as on 2304 echoes are in the noise with that power level. The higher power Spectran amplifiers have spoiled us on 13cm! SSB echoes are light copy on 13cm. HB LNA and HB CP feeds.
Well a good amount of activity today: heard OK1KIR, LX1DB, VE4MA, VE6TA. Worked on Random (no skeds due to uncertainty of getting on) G3LTF #1, F2TU #2, and W5LUA #3. I know on skeds we could have worked at lest 4 more.
So there you go. What is holding stations back from doing QRP on 13 or 9 cm? small dish in restricted area and low cost SS power here.
