Problem solved here, and I'd lik to thank everyne for their suggestions and
thoughts....
It turns out that the worst part of the cable was the top end, and that I
hadn't noticed the corrosion on the center conductor in the twilight last
night.

Using my tube cutter, I split the cable every 6 inches, and bent it open so
I could see the condition of the center conductor... the bottom end needed
18 inches removed, but the top end required the last 7 feet be removed
before the center conductor was corrosion free.
The leakage was from the connector ends in both cases as there were no signs
of patina or disoloration on the shield.

The leakage would probably have had to be prior to my getting the cable, as
there is too much corrosion to have occurred in the 6 weeks I've had the
cable. It's possibly the reason it was removed from service.

After replacing the connectors, when I check the cable using a Motorola 60
watt load at the other end, I have 14 watts into the cable, and .3 watts
return @ 1296. ~ 1.34:1 and I'm not sure of the return loss of the load @
1.3Ghz.

Tomorrow I'll be back on the antennas.... 73...Jordan....
