I am very sorry to have to pass bad news about passing away of Peter, ZS6JT, whom most know under his Z22 callsign, in early days on 70 and later on 23 cm. Together with late Giel, ZS6NG they were the first in Africa on 70 and 23 cm EME. We certainly will not forget Peter.

It is with great regret that I must inform you of the passing of Peter Carey ZS6JT. Peter went SK this morning 11th July in Centurion, after fighting a long illness. He will be missed by his wife Jean, his family, children and grandchildren, and all the colleagues who have known this wonderful man, a great experimenter,technician, operator and award winning radio amateur.
