Hello to everyone....well, another ARRL VHF contest is fast approaching. Here at the K5QE contest station, we are working hard to complete a fairly large 2M EME antenna. We plan to run WSJT EME from 10:15PM Central time on Sat night until our moonset on Sun(we will run CW too--please make a sched). That is 0415Z on the 20th of Jan. We will be operating on or about 144.135Mhz for both WSJT and CW EME. We will call CQ during non-sked times on JT65b 2nd.

The antenna is 8 x 2M18XXX's with the special EME elements. The entire array is 51ft x 15ft x 36ft and contains 144 elements(quite appropriate, don't you think?). Hopefully, they will prove interesting. Feedline is 110ft of 1 5/8" Heliax with a tower mounted preamp.

We would really like to schedule any stations that can run with us, so that we can get some "rare" grids out of our normal operating area. You would get one too. What a deal!!! We will also call CQ on JT65b 2nd Seq. when possible.

If you would like to run CW sked with us, please contact Gary, N5KDA -- n5kda at bellsouth.net, our SchedMaster. On Saturday morning, before the contest, you can send me an email with a schedule. We have fast Internet at the contest station and we will try to check it before the contest starts.

If you know of someone who might like to run with us, please pass the information on. Thank you very much.

Good luck in the contest...73's Marshall K5QE
