The guys at HA5SHF show a driver amp for 23cm?EME on thier website using the MRF899. Not much info there other than the photo.

Hope everybody arrived happy and healthy in 2008.

Is there anybody who ever tried a MRF 899 on 432/1296 MHz.

I know MRF 899 is a matched Motorola Transistor for 800-960 MHz
use. Large Signal Parameters:

800 MHZ Zin 5.51 + j10.6   Zout 4,52 + j2.64
900 MHz Zin 11.2 + j13.8   Zout 3.68 + j2.97
960 MHz Zin 16.8 + j10.1   Zout 2.98 + j2.71

So on 432 Zin could be very low and on 1296 very high !

Has anybody ever measured large signal parameters on 432 MHz
or 1296 MHz ?

Any information is welcome.
