Jan and all:
Yes, very interesting observation. Since by your report you are
using Linrad then maybe you noted the signal level. I will hazard a
guess that the tree is causing scattering or multipath effects. How
is JT65 affected by either the phase shifts or selective
fading? This is at 23cm, right? Also what were the wx
conditions? Calm or windy? What species and how dense the trees if
more than one? I hope you can provide Joe with .wav files as it
would be interesting to have Joe's analysis.
I am QRV on 23cm (sort of) for tropo, and will try go install a 4.9m
dish for eme this summer.
