Oggetto: Re: [Moon-net] WSJT and Linux

Hi Lucien,

I use WSJT under Linux since quite a long time. All my last MS
expeditions are with Linux WSJT /more than 500 QSOs/. I do have several
EME QSOs too on 144Mc JT65B. The most interesting was with RN6BN when I
used 40W and 4el DK7ZB Yagi, Linux WSJT is at least as good as Windows
compilation.

Use Synaptic to install WSJT package in Ubuntu. Nothing to configure
except Settings just like under Windows. Just have in mind that WSJT in
Ubuntu and Debian does not contain KVASD and uses internal decoding
protocol for JT65. It is 1 or 2 db less sensitive. You must download and
install KVASD and all is fine to use the propriate more sensitive JT65
decoder. In case you need KVASD and instructions how to install it let
me know.

Hope this helps.
