Folks:

That turned out to be a busy weekend changing feeds and trying to
optimize a system for a new band.

In the end I spent more time working on the system than operating, but
it was all worth it.

Worked the following stations on 13 cm:

ES5PC, W5LUA, VK4AFL#43, VK3NX, HB9Q, F2TU, HB9SV, OK1KIR, SD3F, WW2R,
DL4MEA, K2UYH, WA6PY, F5JWF, G3LTF, OZ4MM.
CWNR- JA4BLC, JA8IAD, JA8ERE, JA6CZD, NA4N.

I then took the opportunity to switch over to 3400 Mhz for the first
time. This was exciting and I had hoped for slightly better results but
whats life without a challenge HI.
Worked on 9 cm were: G3LTF#1, OK1KIR#2 on sked. Very exciting thanks
guys....
Had close calls with OK1CA and W5LUA due to my cockpit error. CWNR was
VK3NX.

I found that echoes were non-existent and signals were much weaker than
expected. Yet sun noise was reasonable.
Not quite as good as 13 cm but I guess I still have room for optimization.
9 cm station was DB6NT transverter, WD5AGO 2 stage preamp .49 nf,
Aluminum septum waveguide with chapparal rings, Toshiba SSPA.

All in all a fun event. Hope to see most of you on 23cm next month.

73's

Grant
