Hello All,
After repair of my antenna and building a new amplifier
I am back again and results so far are excellent and
EXCITING :-))
One week ago it started with CW qsoos with Vitaly RA6DA
and Joop PA0JMV so PA as new CW dxcc, but Faraday was
playing and many thanks for Joop his persistance !
In JT65 had very nice reports from Josep EA3DXU, which has
never seen my sigs that strong before.
Many more qsoos followed and now also rather easily made
the ZS6 stations in the log, wkd VK3AXH, PY2SRB easily
Matej OK1TEH was a nice 1 yagi station and a few days ago on CW
Mike K6MYC and Jurg DK3WG had FB CW signals.
Joe K1JT has build a superstation because -13 was awesome
and so to speak I fell regular of my chair ..boink .. but instead of :-( now :-)
after these results.
But the story goes on and last Friday I had a wonderfull qso
with Arno PE1RDP and an 'almost' qso with Harry PA3COB,
but the tropo prevented a proper decode. Condx were super and
we try it certainly again with moon at west, so with negative
Doppler just as Arno suggested.
As 40m lover in the past I know what Long path is, but
did not know I could also work long path on eme ! :-> JH2COZ booming
at only 6 degrees of elevation. What an adrenaline.
And the level was already at his highest because managed to
call RA6AX in JT65 with tx msg SSB ? and the next sequence
I started calling. Ivan replied back in JT65, so this was maybe the
1st SSB JT65 mix qso. It was random because Ivan did not knew
my callsign and I was really 'with my head in the clouds' when he gave
me a 5/3 report Wooooow.
That same day saw both Rudy PA3ECU and Peter PA4PS with their
eme signals and they are both qrp without elevation capability :-)
Today Heinz DL6BF called me and is also relative close, but his eme was
soo strong that without trouble we managed it and I guess Heinz
holds te smallest odx with just 139 km !!!
Then I got a pile up for the 1st time and worked 4 stations and
then Bingoooo because succeeded with Frank PA4EME
1 yagi and also some tropo disturbances. I am thinking
of working of all Dutch provincies via EME ;-)
And finally I decided to do something I would only dream of b4
and asked Nick RV9UV in NO34 to try.
Persistance, and I got a sore back, of being almost inside the
monitor to search for his traces and then finally Yippieeee
I could see Nick :-)) The shorthand messages were detected
by eye because a nasty wandering birdie came by, but our
persistance was rewarded and after a while all was decoded
on screen ! Dancing in the shack followed up.
Nick uses a ft857 50W and 4 x 12 ele BQH,
but 45m of 5/8 in between.
After all the Deep search decoder helped me this way and,
besides all what is said about it, it is a wonderfull tool which
helped me to test the receiving capabilities !!
The whole improvement of my station is also the cause of
a pile up of the neighbours on the door, but that is another issue ;-))
