Hello all.....
This WE I had an opportunity to try out my new feed. For those that are interested, in VK we only have 23mm ID copper tube available. I suspected "overmoding" problems and after trying a new feed (kindly donated by F5VKQ) my suspicions were confirmed. The new feed with 20.5mm ID tunes up to 30dB RL (cf 18dB best before) and the feed is showing slightly better efficiency. There is also better symmetry with reduced pattern skew on my Sun noise measurements.
Thanks to the stations whom responded to my sked requests.
I have worked the following stations so far this WE....
31/08 F5VKQ O/O
01/09 F2TU O/O
01/09 F5JTA M/M new #
Condx are very good on 10 Ghz this WE and all stations were worked in <20 min.
Any other stations wishing a QSO then please let me know...I will keep the 10 GHz feed in position for a couple more days.
