I am very saddened to hear of Josep's passing. I worked him many times on MS
and EME, in the latter case on both 2m and 70 cms. He was an outstanding
signal with such a small system, moreover he had a great pair of ears! I'll
never forget being one of the lucky few to work ED9UHF on 70cms eme. I later
found out that Joseph was operating for our QSO and then understood how my
weak signal got through the pileup. I met him for the first time at the
Prague EME conference when he told me the above story. Thanks Josep for
being such a gentleman and a good operator, you were a pleasure to know. 

Condolences to Josep's family, take solace in the fact that Josep was a very
popular man with us all.
