Adio amigo Josep - EA3DXU,

What a sad news. We've made first 2m ssb sporadic E QSO in June 1997 and
many other QSO's followed since then. We've met in Prague and Wurtzburg and
always spoke about EME and family. Exactly one month ago it was supposed to
meet again Josep in his home town Barcelona, during my family summer
holiday. Fighting with this terrible illness he couldn't made it, but called
me just after was out again from the hospital in the evening of September
11th. So, I've answered his last phone call to me during visiting Barcelona
Cathedral. I was so deeply moved and answered his call still inside the
Cathedral, close to entrance. He did promised me will fight with the illness
and will be with us in Florence next year ... We've finished the call, and
we fired a small candle and pray for his health. Since then, we've changed
few e-mails and small messages on EME Logger, last one probably end of
September. Still can't believe this is true ... Indeed, he will be sadly
missed by so many of us and VHF/UHF DX bands will be missing Josep
responding to the next DX calls and challenges. Farewell dear friend Josep.
Our Condolence to his brother Pau and his family.
