Another productive night in Guinea on 2m EME. We had some problems through the night but we managed to log another 34 stations. Here is the update to the previous worked list:
27 November update: PE1BTX (sorry for the typo)
28 November on JT65b starting at 2237Z:
LY2BAW, IK7EZN, IW4ARD, RU1AA, JH0HME, PA0ZH, HB9Q, UA4AQL, OK1CU, DJ7OF, OZ2UZL, DL9MS, EI4DQ, DF7KF, UA9FAD, DL8EBW, F8DO, DL2NUD, OE6IWG, ON7UC, F6BEG, K1JT, KD3UY, and S54T.
28 November on CW starting at 0537Z:
W5UN, KB8RQ, SV1BTR, RN6BN, and RA6AX
28 November on JT65b starting at 0736Z:
I3EVK, RX1AS, W8WN, W7GJ and DK3BU
We struggled with local QRN, Internet dropout, GPS constellation loss and marginal conditions throughout the night. Despite all of that, we were elated to make every contact.
We are changing our operating schedule for Friday. Due to the expected difficulty in lowering this EME array, we are going to cease EME operation on 30 Nov at 0700Z. We have a team of local help we will assist us in lowering this antenna and we need to start early. We could lower it quickly, but we would like to be able to use the array again.
We start up again tonight for a full lunar day of operating. We start at 2300Z in the JA window on 144.084. We will be focusing on JA, so if you see us calling a JA station, we will call them until we are complete as best we can. Will will QSY to 144.149 at 0145Z and operate listening up around 500 Hz. As a suggestion, when you start calling do not QSY. We copy many signals at once and sort them out to make a list. We will call the next station in the queue as soon as we see a 73 from the current station, so expect us to call you next. If you QSY, we lose you and we go to the next station on our list (if we have one). We will operate 2 hours of CW at 0500Z on 144.045. As before, we will use one minute periods with 3X calling 1st (even minutes).
Good luck to all.
