I tried one station for 40 minutes trying to decode. As the data is sent the modulation extends higher in frequency and usually the center frequency is stable and lays in a straight line down the waterfall display. On only a few stations have I noticed this drift. It varies with successive transmissions. It looks like a J or L and sometimes a S but each time my WSJT JT65B decoder can not decode this drifting signal.

Hi Dave,
No - that is a problem indicative with many 2m rigs. You can try to
check the little AFC box on the JT65B screen and sometimes that will
help. That is the reason I make sure both my XMTR and RCVR are well
warmed up for several hours before I run any JT65 skeds.
On 6m, there is much less of this frequency instability, which permits
the slightly more sensitive JT65A mode to be used. GL and VY 73, Lance
