[Moon-net] Problem with DEMI Transverter

Russ,
That's an interesting comment. I jsut bought a DEMI 144/28 xvtr
(low-power) kit and have seen nearly no drift that I can detect (less
than 5-Hz I would say). The kit I bought in January uses a PTC to
heat stabilize the xtal. I leave it powered full time so no warm-up
drift. I am using it with my SDR-IQ so cannot say that it might
drift in Tx (I'm only using the receive side). But not having a
power module I would guess there would not be enough heat shift in Tx
to be dectectable.
Could be the newer model has solved much of this problem? It will be
totally gone when I have my Jupiter-GPS/Reflock operational to lock
the oscillator.

PS: I will be QRV on 5/13 for ARI Contest and to test my SDR-IQ for
working random JT65 on 2m-eme. Be out of town 5/12 so no eme.
