Not mentioned yet is the fact that the tube needs an airflow through the filament/cathode
connections.
Connecting a non conducting tube on the smallest ring , which ends outside the RF box
and pressurizing the cathode compartment with air fom the anodeblower , will cause a low
velocity airflow , enough to keep temperature down.
Cooling the heater/cath. connections is not sufficient because they are connected with rather
long wires to the heater.
