Hi David,
there are (several options, not just PCI), but
built-in "specials" tend to be expensive unless you're fortunate enough
to come across a cheap ebay bargain.
I followed your KST
conversations the other day, so I realise you're already aware of using
GSM/3G as one alternative possibility.
Another is to use a GPS
device (in my case a GPS "usb mouse", type BU-353, bought from ebay),
combined with software that can read the GPS output and set the system
clock every minute or so. The software I use is GPS Time and Test
- at $10 it wasn't worth writing my own... My guess is this isn't
anywhere near millisecond-accurate, but is surely good enough for
(e.g.) WSJT. It also has the advantage of having some chance of working
wherever you are in the world :)
