Peter,

I've been reading the mail about the activity weekend on 3.4 GHz and
looks like quite a bit of activity is there. In time (goal:fall
2007) I will have my 4.9m dish up and running; first on 1296 but I
have two DEMI 144/3456 xvtrs and two Toshiba amps which could become
a fair 9cm eme station. Haven't addressed how to operate at 3400 but
I suspect receive might be possible with the DEMI unit by running a
lower IF (?).

I suspect there are fair number of these Toshiba 40w amps out there
in mw'ers hands and all they need is for some activity to convince
them to get a suitable dish. Here in the USA there is a ample supply
of idle c-band dishes in the 2-3m range...often available for the
taking. I had one offered to me just this week. with 4-foot, two
6-foot, 8-foot and 16-foot dishes, I really do not need another. Not
counting the smaller dishes for portable mw!

Once we have the 1296 eme station running, I will only need to build
a feed and get a LNA for 3456. One obstacle was overcome a month ago
in the form of 215-feet of donated 1-5/8 inch hardline (for the price
of two L7NF connectors)...Tnx KL7FB.

Recently, I've been asked if I have a design for combining two
Toshiba amps. I have not done this yet but would wonder if anyone
out there has and can offer help/guidance in this?

PS: we will be at CSVHF 2007.
