Having found a little time to play with the dish I have at last got round to putting my ADL C band feed on my 2.3m dish. I've modified a Samsonic C band LNB to disable the DRO and IF. I've added an SMA socket at the output of the 3 stage LNA but kept the power feed over the IF connection. This provides a 0.6dB NF and 35dB gain when measured through a WG11A to coax adaptor of unknown loss (probably about 0.2dB). The transverter is in the shack and consists of a DB6NT unit with 1.2dB NF. I plan to add a supplementary converter to access 3456MHz.

Polarisation is linear and can be set to verticalor horizontal, but being the dish is on a polar mount, this will skew away from the selected polarisation as the dish moves either side of south.

I measure 8.6dB sun noise at the present SFI, and 0.2dB moon noise.

I am only able to listen in the 3400MHz range at present.

I'm hoping to hear a few stations on Sunday.
