[Moon-net] Combined activity report

There is at least one more dxpedition, Jimmy! When DH7FB and I were in ZB2
in April we very thoroughly watched our communicated CW calling frequency
all the time but never ever a spectral line was noticed let alone a signal
was copied there, very much to our disappointment.

We also do keep pomises!

Subject: [Moon-net] Combined activity report

Hello all

Thanks again for a GREAT 2m CW EME DUBUS activity event! Enjoyed it very
much hearing and decoding signals in & above the noise floor myself. See u
in the 70cm cw eme DUBUS activity event 17 June 0700-0900 & 1700-1900. My
friend Petros SV3AAF will also be on, for his arrival to the wonderful world
of 70cm cw EME!

Above all, i would like to say a big BRAVO to PE1L and PA3CNX of PJ4EME
expedition for standing up to their words and indeed working cw eme;
together with DL8YHR OJ0 expedition, those two are the only 2m expeditions i
can remember in the last 4+ yrs which announced mixed operation and kept
their word in practice.
Regardless of possible challenges other expeditions might have had with
lesser pwr etc., which was never a significant barrier for at least a number
of cw eme ops to overcome.
Moreover, a BIG thanks goes to the cw operator, local island ham PJ4LS who
made it indeed possible by doing the keying with pleasure! FB work!
I do believe PJ4 can work a number of more cw stations on random if they try
again in the coming weekend. Stations need to spread out 1KHz though and not
everyone call on the same frequency.

This is a combined 2m activity report of SV9CVY & SV1BTR:

SV9CVY:
Michael made his start in cw eme mostly spending time in listening. He
worked SV1BTR twice and IK3MAC after some local noise cleared, as earlier in
the day he copied him in QSOs with others, vy loud. Heard well and called
for long time F1FLA, heard also were RU1AA (vy good
signal) and SP7DCS.
He is working in improving the station, especially with respect to antenna
positioning at this stage.
Running 4*8el. H pol and 2*12el. V pol. For now he is interested in skeds
with optimized 4 long yagi & above stations only. If you are interested, pls
e-mail me.

SV1BTR:
worked 25 QSOs. 22 of them during the activity event where i was active for
a total of 3.5 hrs in both slots.
Would like to thank and congratulate the following Braveheart stations
worked in CW EME on Sunday June 10 (well done for higher activity from
Russia and US):
RU1AA (vy glad to hear u Alex!) RO&569/O&569, IK2DDR O/RO, RN6MT 539/559,
OK1MS O&539/539, YO2AMU 539/559, SV3AAF 529/549 (FB operator!), JH0WJF
(vy glad to hear u Noriyuki) O&539/RO&539, OH6CH
(welcome back!) 539/549, SV9CVY O/RO (wkd twice within 1.5 hr for
his first ever EME QSOs - congrats!), CT1HZE 539/539, DL5MAE (welcome back
from KM24bt vy successful HSCW MS expedition in Gavdos island in SV9), F5JNX
O/RO, F1FLA 559/539, IK3MAC 579/559, K9DX
549/559 (vy glad to hear u again, beautiful signal!), SP7DCS 549/559,
EA3DXU O/539, I3EVK O/RO, DF1CF O/RO, G4DHF 539/549, IK1FJI 549/549,
N9JIM 549/559 (tnx for new # FB signal also!), RA6DA 549/549.
Heard Oene PA3CWN at the end of 1st slot but had to QSY urgently to another
obligation so sorry i could not come back to you.

Highlight of the day was working PJ4EME for their 2nd CW EME QSO.
After our qso i was monitoring their cw operation and their signal was an
average of 529, ranging from 519 to 539 at times for the 2 hrs i listened.
Every 1 hour polarity was changing 90 degrees.
Hugh pileup and indeed a pity that no preamp, audio filter and headphones
had been used; I am sure they could have worked at least 2 times the number
of stations if those prerequisites for cw eme work were met. Nevertheless, a
fine effort and those 10 CW RANDOM EME QSOs PJ4EME expedition made so far,
to me says it all for the challenge & value of achievement, this mode
entails.

Jimmy SV1BTR

Today PJ4EME was active 2 hours before dubus contest and 2 hours in the
contest.
Condx where good from time to time.
Keying was done by the only local ham on the island: PJ4LS We made qso?s
with RU1AA SV1BTR OK1MS IK3MAC SP7DCS RN6MT NC Sri we had your call as RB6BN
KB8RQ SM2CEW IK1FJI OH6CH K1CA It was for us vy difficult to copy signals,
the pile up was sometimes great and I did not have my own audiofilter and
headphones with me QSL information on www.emelogger.com/bonaire
