[Moon-net] Newbie question

OK folks – I am new and have never tried this mode. If I cannot hear anyone
– then there is not much sense in sending anything (CQ). So, I need to start
somewhere.

How can I check ahead of time to see if the moon is visible at my location
to try EME? Is there a computer program? I can only see the moon if it is to
the north, east or west - as my antenna is on the north side of my house and
is not above my roof line. I have a clear unobstructed view of all other
locations (i.e. N,E, & W)

I have a Cushcraft 20 element antenna for 2 meters - with azimuth and
elevation capability. (I used it for satellite operations) It is part of an
AOP-1 2 meter / 440 antenna. I just purchased a 160 watt linear and it has
a GasFet preamp.

At this point - I just want to try listening.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks & 73
