I'm very sad to hear so bad news. If i'm correct, Ted in the past was promotor of activity from the Ontario big dish station.

It is with regret that I inform the group of the passing of former EMEer 
Ted Sparrow, VE3BQN.  Ted passed away suddenly at his home on July 10.
I had the good fortune to see Ted at a local Hamfest on Saturday so I 
was shocked and saddend to hear the news. Ted went out of his way to 
pass on his knowledge by way of several long distance phone calls on his 
nickle as he insisted, while I was in the mode of assembling my own 
modest EME station. I am thankful to have known him and will miss his 
colourful personality.
