[Moon-net] 1A0KM on EME?

Wolfgang DL5MAE requested me to post the following email on his behalf because his local digipeater is down:

Dear Philip,
 
Sorry to read your complaint about my 1-day-only activity from 1A0KM.
The problem is I just do not have more time left because of my work duties
and I just spent a 3 weeks vacation (and radio activity) in SV9.
 
So it is quite some effort for me to:
1. drive 1000km from Munich to Rome on July 13th
2. building up the 2x17el M2 at the 14th of July
3. doing the operation on the 15th of July
4. removing the array on the 16th of July, pack about 500kg of RIG back
   into my car and heading back home another 1000km
 
The RIG will be the same which I used in 5B4 (90CW QSOs) and 9Y4/DL5MAE from where  I worked you. You had big signal and you were easy copy then.
With this 2x17el I did work several 2yagi station and a single yagi station before. But as you know all depends on conditions and local circumstances.
So I will go to 1A0KM even with the risk of not doing any contact (in case of QRM or space problems). I just assure everybody to do the very best to get on!
