Hi,
I was QRV after 0600UT and so I missed the moonrise. In truth I was out for geocaching in the early night, so I had some need for sleep...
Worked SV1BTR (0/0), K2UYH (0/549) and DL9KR (0/599) (Jan, that was really 599 for you!)
heard was OH2DG but he disappeared before I was able to catch him.
Most of the time I had 90° polarisation shift on my echos. I had 7dB sun noise and echos at around 6dB.
Station is 4.5m dish, CT1DMK loop feed, GS35b 1.2kW and a 0.5dB NF preamp.
I did not see any other signals on the waterfall, so I assume there were not much of the bigger ones really calling. At the end a nice morning and three nice QSOs.
I will equip the C-Band-LNB for the coming 3.4GHz activity weekend now.
??? Does somebody know a good web page where to check for the headings of current C-Band geostationary satellites? I tried to calculate them using Keplerian elements and Nova, but this seems to be off, since I have to turn widely outside my known deviation.
73, Günter, DL4MEA
