Dear Bernd, Josep, Moon-Net members

first of all i want to say I am very glad Josep EA3DXU and I, are in
complete agreement per my earlier posting regarding future expeditions.

To your comment about ZB2/DF2ZC eme operation in particular we have
discussed it before in public as well as in private. I know of several
stories and from own experience on expeditions having announced both modes,
working jt65 only though, myself and others hearing and calling them in cw
and they never switched to cw. For example, i did call the A25 expedition
after you passed me the info yesterday, but no reply. So?
The only final thing i would like to remind you, is the experience cw eme
stations had with 3Y0X expedition. There, we had some cw skeds which were
not honored, 98% of them. During my cw sked with them i was calling but they
never came back to me. Moreover, some stations qrv in jt65 in n0uk logger at
the time were mocking me and others trying to work them. What more can be
said? This says it all.

Therefore, dedicated dates/times for each mode (for those willing to work
both modes if they see fit) is the best solution. Like PJ4EME did. There are
stories where stations announcing mixed expedition do not even take a cw key
with them, and/or have no headphones/speaker etc. for cw signals.

As far as ZB2 expedition was concerned, the unlucky event of less pwr
finally available vs limited time, would make it difficult for cw random
contacts. Nevertheless, setup of most expeditions is perfectly fit for cw if
things work out and Murphy does not hopefully visit.

I do not wish to have any debate, i am only interested in what future
brings. I stay with the thoughts i shared with Josep and all here, for
trully mixed expeditions in the future, in the light of benefiting both
modes and future operations.

Finally, i am sure Wolfgang DL5MAE would very much like to work you from
1A0KM, being a very experienced operator as you point out, can work many
stations in pile-up situations and time is always enough. I know he loves
challenge and has demanding operational standards, of true random QSOs
without any Internet aid. Therefore, it would be a pleasure for all of us to
copy your cw signals.

73,
Jimmy SV1BTR
