My point. Kim is not that brass is a relatively poor choice, but that it is a 
very BAD choice! 

If your loaded Q is too high, relying on losses in the output circuit to 
reduce the loaded Q will lead to dissipative losses. These will show as lower 
obtainable power output, extra dissipation (which will often show as tuning 
drift) or lower efficiency. None of which are exactly desirable. 

It's much better to redesign the output network for a lower loaded Q, and use 
the best possible (highest unloaded Q) components. That derives from very 
basic theory, and is as true at 136kHz as it is on 248GHz!
