Hello Charlie,
Your measurement seems low regarding your dish diameter.
I have done a quick calculation with my software and it seems you have a bad
NF of the RX or high losses in the RX line (probable a few dB).
With this antenna the meas. should be > 2 dB on the moon and > 16 dB on the
sun with a reference on the cold sky.
About echoes, be careful with the Doppler shift.
You can download my software (it is free) on my web site :
http://www.f1ehn.org then enter your station parameters setup.
Use the EME Calc module to calculate the measurement level on the moon or
sun.
Then use the Tracking module (real time) to estimate with a good accuracy
the Doppler shift. It is also possible to manage your Rig if compatible.
Else, ask me via email and I will send you the calculation (screen copy).
