That's rather an extreme reaction to a mis-post with no content, isn't it? I 
simply hit the wrong button. I play amateur radio as a hobby, and I wouldn't 
usually include the tag which my lawyers recommend I add to my work emails in 
one directed to a radio amateur friend.

My involvement in the hobby is purely self-entertainment and instruction. I 
have a busy professional life and I don't have any great need to use the 
hobby as what, in the 1960's, we used to call an 'ego-trip', although I am 
happy to contribute where I can. 

As it happens, I was able to suggest  a couple of sources of detectors to 
G4YTL. That email was sent off-list...
