[Moon-net] EME on 33 watts and a single yagi

Dear Gang:

This was the best EME contest for me so far with 26 stations worked on 2M
and another 10 heard but not worked. My 2m antenna is blind between 30
degrees and 70 degrees elevation on moonrise.

HOWEVER, the most fun was jury-rigging an antenna on 432 and working HB9Q on
a single 18-element yagi (M2 of course!) and 33 watts with no preamp! I
calculated the 50w from my TS-2000 was down to 33 watts at the antenna. The
biggest surprise was HB9Q being -16db and loud on WSJT, copied easily every
period. Wow. I called perhaps for eight or nine periods before being
heard.

Email me if you'd like pics of the antenna setup

73,
