[Moon-net] Astec Power Supply [Switched mode]

Hi - I recently got an Astec 26v-28v power supply rated at 1200w or approx
45 amps.  Its model # is VS1 - 06 - 00.  On application of 230v the fan runs
but there is no output.  There is a 10 pin socket on the front panel [J1] & I 
presume this is for  on/off or some kind of enable function.  The plug that goes
into J1 has two wires attached that look like were cut off when the supply was
removed from service in working condition I was advised.  Possibly the supply 
might be activated if these two wires were joined however I am not game to do 
this until I know what I am doing!
This is the sort of power supply that could be used in a large solid state amp
such as that popular for 13cm EME. Does anyone know anything about these
Astec units?
