Hi all,
After hard battle, Nicolas EA2AGZ (with the help of EA3DXU) got
solid 350W from the TH-308 23cm PA for my EME stn.
Well, now I´am serious thinking how would be the good way to loss
the less power in the way to the feed place.
There are two choices:
A) about 32meters of Ecoflex 15 from the shack that is about 3.6 dB
of power loss at the feed (yes I know: put a big and heavy cable there,
but is not my choice for some reason).
B) Near 8.2 meters of Ecoflex 15 that is 0.94 dB of loss If I put the PA
below the dish on the tower and about 30cm from the ground level.
I´am working in the choice (B) building a metal box plenty of axial fans
and waterproof it too.
At 24m from the shack, I have not clear how to monitor the PA fuctions, mainly
Grid and Plate currents, temperature of box and air out from the tube easily
can be control by LM35 transducer, and, output power would be via EME
power meter with external sensor.....
Any idea??, anybody had experience more or less on this matter??
Any suggestion or help would be greatly appreciate.
Thanks in advance
