David's name is actually Michael Owen, but I just dont seem to keep that in
my memory ... 

I agree that the discussion is yet well mannared, but it usually tends to go
worse. In any case, I think the debate should take place within the IARU,
not here on Moon-net. Here we will just continue shouting opinions and thus
we will never find a way to agree upon how to finally deal with it...

Inflamed is rather a strong word. I have found that the discussions here
have been very well mannered. Many of the regular contributors have made
their positions clear, but have done so eloquently and without malice. 
The occaisional bit of hyperbole and fact-stretching occurs, but that is
part of any normal debate.

Maybe this is due to Michael's 6.4e-8 Hz squelch cycle. Whatever it is,
Moon-net  is a pillar of civility compared to much of the dreck out there.
