[Moon-net] Most popular uWave EME band ?

Although I'm still an EME "newbie" operating casually on 2 metres since 
September '05, uWave EME using a small dish has been on the back of my 
mind as something to try in the future.  I have questions ;)

1. What is the concensus on which is the most popular uwave EME band 
above 1 GHz ?  My initial though is that it would be 1.2GHz but perhaps not.

2. For what band would you find the most equipment on the surplus market 
that is capable of being used (w/ or w/o modifications) ?  I would 
probably build a DEM transverter and LNA but a PA is something that I 
would prefer to buy surplus rather than building from scratch, mostly 
for economical reasons.

3. Related to question # 2, is there much EME activity on 2.3 - 2.4 GHz 
?  Seems to me there is more and more surplus equipment becoming 
available due to the WiFi explosion. Is interference from WiFi and other 
equipment on that band enough of a concern that it
should be avoided ?
