[Moon-net] Beacon reception

Hello All  - I have been trying without any success to
copy the 1296.000 MHz beacon & given its antenna
gain & 270w I thought I should be able to detect it in
a waterfall display with a 3.7m dish quite easily.
During my window the beacons antenna is pointing
approx West with about 12 degrees of elevation & I 
was wondering if anyone knows what the horizon is
like in that direction?
