But you will lose any chance working Alaska.  I just checked MoonSked for
19/10/2006  (declination=0) for common window with GM4JJJ:  It is less than
30-min at 1600utc with my az= 115, elev=13 and his az= 267, el= 2.  Anyone
east of the UK will have NO common Moon window with Alaska.  Setting the
contest weekend for dec=0 will result in KL6M, KL7HFQ, KL7FH and KL7UW
being excluded from working over half the participants (since EU has
greater activity).  This will likewise affect all high latitude European
and Asian stations.

I would recommend a higher dec angle to compromise with southern
hemispheric stations.
