Hi Doug, Fabrizio, Lance, Rod and others,
to answer your questions I can presently only repeat what Frank posted on moon-net on Nov-14 at 0950z before packing up things at Frankfurt airport.
Frank mentioned having a second radio which he aims to put on 14345 kHz for liaison purposes. His phone call was from a hotel telephone but he will obtain a personal phone card.
Here's his text (with some corrections on grammar only):
"Last info: Because moon is not in a really good position for Far East like ZL/JA and Far West W7... I will work as follows:
Start with day Nov-16 moonrise I will run first hour 2m then 1 hour 70cm and after that I will be on 2m for 3 hours and 1 hour 70cm thereafter.
Next day (Nov-17) I will start with 70cm for one hour, thereafter 3 hours on 2m, thence 1 hour 70cm etc.
So I will change every day...Thursday start with 2m, Friday start with 70cm, Saturday start with 2m.
If nada on 70cm after 30 minutes, I will go back to 2m earlier, same near moonset.
At the start I will run a band always for 1 hour. If I start with 2m I will go to 70cm after for 1 hour and thence to 2m for 3 hours, thereafter 70cm for one hour etc. ...
The corresponding schedule goes for a start on 70cm (see daily sequence).
I think that's a good way and people don't have to watch too much and they know at about which times I could be QRV.
For those who would like to call me on CW I think it's good enough when I take the last 30 minutes of each 3 hour period to QSY to 144050 CW.
On 70cm you can call me any time on CW if you hear my WSJT signals. WSJT and CW frequency is 432050.
6m will always be parallel to 2m and 70cm.
So good luck to all. If there are any comments, let me know.
Leaving here in one hour.
VY73, Frank"
Pse remember: 5A7A is always transmitting first with 1 minute sequences.
That's all at present. If anything new evolves I'll put it on both nets without delay.
GL & 73. Jan DL9KR.
