Alast we will not make it QRV this coming weekend. Been working hard on
the system out in 10F wx (winter arrived a couple weeks back).

I have two of the xpol-20's hung and mounted a video camera today (for
visual Moon tracking), and new digital elevation display (MEMSIC demo
inclinometer).

All my cables are too short from the old QTH so having to add to them or
modify. The 7/8-inch line (originally 103-foot) will have a 52-foot
7/8-inch and a 15-foot section of 1/2-inch cable addition. Finally cured
loss of sensor problems with the elevation motor-arm, so ready to hang the
final antennas (2 more xpol-20 and one 1296 MHz 45-ele loop yagi. Then
comes reattaching the phasing lines and testing the individual antennas
before hooking up the the 4-way dividers. More testing. Physical aligning
the array. Tywraping coax lines. Reconnecting the 32 conductor control
lines. More testing. Running coax up the tower. Raising the array (Hazer
Lift) and connecting the hardlines once raised...whew!

Cannot work other than weekends, now, as its dark now by time I get home
from work on weekdays. Skies have been clear this last week and saw a
great rising Moon at 1730 local (az=42, el=4). August-October has been
constant rain. Now we have an inch of snow on the frozen ground.

Sorry to disappoint those hoping for us to be in the contest.
I hope that I may finish up by end of the weekend.
Photos of work being added to the website as we progress toward getting
back on the Moon!
