[Moon-net] two stage preamp

Hi All

I would like to know what is best in two stage preamp on 1296 , at the moment I am using a cavity preamp as 1st stage and right after it a normal (dj9bv)preamp with a total gain of round 35 db both at the feed.

Is it best to install the second preamp at a distant position from the 1 st stage ? the reason I am asking as It seems that i have some overload on the transverter on local strong signals.
