Because some rig control setups use DTR and others use RTS, WSJT asserts 
both of these lines for PTT control.  (Earlier WSJT versions allowed the 
user to select DTR or RTS.  If there were much demand for it, this could 
be done again.)

WSJT generates CW though a keyed audio tone rather than by means of a 
digital control line.  WSJT wants your radio to be set to SSB mode, not 
in CW mode -- even if you are using the CW mode in WSJT.
