Subject: Request for information
To provide some guidance on possible future development of WSJT, I am
requesting some input from present users based on their operating
experiences. If you have used JT65 to make EME QSOs, I would greatly
appreciate hearing from you (off list) with answers to the following
questions:
1. Approximately how many EME QSOs have you made using JT65? On what
band, or bands? Using JT65A, B, or C?
2. Have any QSOs that you originally considered complete, turned out to
have been invalid? If so, about how many? For what reason(s)?
3. What about the converse? Has anyone claimed to have worked you in a
JT65 EME QSO that did not occur, or for some reason was not valid?
4. Do you find the standard JT65 messages and their decodings to be
generally useful and reliable? Do you have suggestions for improvements
in this area?
5. When you are using JT65 for EME, do you primarily make scheduled or
random QSOs? Do you regularly call CQ, or answer other stations calling
CQ? Do you "self-spot" on a logger when you are calling CQ? Do you
tailend other QSOs, and do others tailend your QSOs?
Many thanks, in advance, for your help! I look forward to receiving
your input. Of course, any ideas beyond answers to the above questions
will be very welcome, also.
With best wishes,
-- 73, Joe, K1JT
