If you run a Linux distribution that uses rpm-style 
packages, you should download and install the package

prepared by LZ1BB.  This package has been confirmed to work 
on Mandriva 2007, Fedora Core 5, and Suse 10.1. Harry has 
also made a convenient package of the WSJT source code,

The rpm distro is good news Joe.

I had the devil's own game installing from source.  Seems that one 
needs an `everything` ~and then some~ installation!
It was taking too long, so I put it aside.  
I'll go with the rpm this weekend.  I hope Harry has got all his 
deps in a row ;)

Running CentOS 4.4 (2.6 kernel) on a medium-range P4.
I'll let you know...
