If you run a Linux distribution that uses rpm-style
packages, you should download and install the package
http://lz1bb.bfra.org/wsjt/wsjt-5.9.6.r309-2.i586.rpm
prepared by LZ1BB. This package has been confirmed to work
on Mandriva 2007, Fedora Core 5, and Suse 10.1. Harry has
also made a convenient package of the WSJT source code,
available at
http://lz1bb.bfra.org/wsjt/wsjt-5.9.6.r309-2.src.rpm .

The number of Linux WSJT users is relatively small, but
growing. If you have any problems installing any of these
packages, please let us know: we want to get any bugs out of
the distribution system.

With best wishes to all for the New Year,

The rpm distro is good news Joe.

I had the devil's own game installing from source. Seems that one needs an `everything` ~and then some~ installation!
It was taking too long, so I put it aside.
I'll go with the rpm this weekend. I hope Harry has got all his deps in a row ;)

Running CentOS 4.4 (2.6 kernel) on a medium-range P4.
I'll let you know...

Many thanks
