What about that foaming polyurethane insulation that comes in a spray can
at the Home Depot (basically like sprayable packing foam)? You could
probably extend the little plastic "nozzle" tube with some small-gauge
poly tubing in order to reach into the middle of the 3" fiberglass tube.
Push the button, and when the foam comes out of the other end, start
pulling the poly tube out until the cavity is filled. It would certainly
be considerably lighter than a solid resin tube.
