Hi,

I did so some years ago: Simply remove all elements and make a BVO-4WL from it. Only re-use the boom. The effort is really the same and the results much  better. Of course you will have to lengthen the boom, but the number of elements keeps equal

made by VE7BQH on the old 15 el. for 144 made
by CUE-DEE .
